I spent this past weekend with my family, surrounded by the people who’ve shaped so much of my life—parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was a mix of love, nostalgia, and reflection.

Being back reminded me of the incredible journey I’ve taken to create a life that’s truly my own.

As the oldest daughter of immigrant parents, I carried the weight of responsibility from a young age. I helped raise my sisters, translated for my parents, and balanced a home filled with both love and chaos.

For years, I stayed small, stuck in a survival mindset and held back by guilt for wanting more than the life my parents sacrificed for.

But I chose a different path.

It wasn’t easy, but I broke free from the mindset blocks that kept me stuck—scarcity, fear of the unknown, and guilt.

I healed past traumas, rewrote the story I was told to live, and created a life that’s authentically mine.
