Worry used to be a huge part of my life. It started when I was a child growing up with an alcoholic dad. I also learned from my mom that if you worry about someone or something, it means you love them. As an adult the worrying became problematic. It was all-consuming and persistent, my mind would go to catastrophic places all the time. It created so much anxiety that it started to manifest physically in my body.
Breathwork has been a huge part of learning how to bring my mind out of the worrying state and into the present moment. On Day #4 of the Holiday Calm Challenge, you learn how to “flip the switch” on your thoughts. This allows you to view things from a different perspective. It also helps you get back into your power, instead of stuck in the story your mind has created.
